Beach make the move from SL to IMVU
Beaches were always extremely popular in Second Life, so much so that generally all neo-tribes and avatars can be classed in to two groups: virtual beach people vs. non-virtual beach people. In Second Life someone who buys land that faces the water and intentionally does not have a sandy beach with tropical trees is saying something. This interest in the beach remains in IMVU, but its reaching a far larger audience.
I am starting to wonder if Second Life was MySpace and IMVU is Facebook? As much as I actually don't like IMVU its success had made me hopeful that 5 years of research in virtual realities would not be a total waste without learning Korean.
