Linden Labs still does not get Twitter
Above are the top four web posts for this blog over the last week. Twinity has promoted posts I make about this blog on their Twitter and Facebook page, which has driven traffic to my site, which provides information about Twinity.
I have over 3,000 SIM reviews on this blog and one would imagine that anyone who wanted to know what there was to do in Second Life might find my site a bit useful. But, as I wrote about before, Linden Labs still does not get how Twitter and Web 2.0 really work. Linden Labs seems happy to rent space for social activity within their world, but they utterly fail to grasp that content prosumers in Second Life also are active in the larger cyberspace, specifically blogging, YouTube, Twitter, Flickr and Facbebook; and that Linden Labs needs to engage the community in these spaces.
Its just so strange that a company with such advanced thinking seems to utterly NOT get Social Marketing.
