The name of this SIM is perfect. A Japanese SIM modelled after Romantic European concepts with Asian trees. Tempura itself is a one of the earliest globalized products. Deep frying is not an East Asian thing. Portugal introduced the concept to Japan, where the Japanese applied their own artistic values to it. But the idea of frying came to Portugal via Africa.

Second Life and even the entire Internet is only a small part of a much wider story unfolding since the Mongol Empire, of growing direct contact between Europe, Asia and Africa bringing in the Americas as a product. Often a tale of pure evil, sometimes the producers of new ideas and new forms. Tempura is one of my favorite foods, and Second Life is not all that bad after all. They don't force us to play.
