I have noticed circles are a common pattern of avatar grouping in Second Life. That is to say people form circles in RL.



You see this in RL, but it is my observation its more common in SL. I wonder in what contexts people form circles in RL.



My experience that they form in public conversations, before member of the groups form personal relationships. Or in "meeting" contexts where information is shared.
