Extropia

The skyline at night over Extropia Core. Extropia is offically The Independent State of Extropia and is one of the many small "nations" of Second Life. Most of Second Life is just singular islands owned by one person or group, or large spreads of land being rented to different people. It creates for a generally chaotic experiecnes. Some communities have emerged to form their own states and even political entities. Other major examples are Caledon, New Babbage, CDS, and a number of Gorian communites.

The communities rent land and are not owned by a single person or group, and yet somehow manage to keep a distinctive flavour. That is not to say they are all content with each other or such places are not known to their battles. But such is society.
