Leaving SL to explore the OSGrid, a Open Source alternative VR

Rober1236 Jua enter Open Sim Grid called the OSGrid. You can then download Hippo. Hippo is an open source viewer which will allow you to access a number of Second Life like Sims, including Second Life

OSGrid is small, with generally a 100 or so people in world, and it is just being built. Fun is it can feel like the early days of Second Life all over again. Get another chance to see a world being built.

Open Sim allows you to add your own Servers, thus allowing you to create SIMs are lower cost with no Prim limits, or so I was informed by the avatar wearing some nice eye candy.

Be warned, its still pretty buggy.

I have really strong opinions about silly things that I can validate using the strongest social theory, like why you should not watch Sex in the City or how the Simpsons promotes democracy.
