Attending a Joust in Second Life
Harlech Estate The home of Her Majesty Michelle Childs, Queen of Meriland
Second Life is a world that requires the ownership of mega quantities of computer power, excellent broadband connectivity, and lots of free time to develop the complex and difficult 3D world. No wonder the fantasies that prove most popular are medieval, sexual and bondage role plan: typical geek stuff.
I do find the Queen stuff cool. Hakim Bey said that in dreams on Anarchy and Monarchy make sense, and I guess Second Life is a collective dream. All the Queen and Dukes and stuff seems to make sense in a world of imagination, while the business parks seem unreal for some reason.
I have only one question: is it really possible that such a large crowd of all women would collect on the Internet? I mean what do you think the chances are that only women would have shown up to watch this event? What is that chance that 20 women will show up with maybe one male?
I don't know, just wondering.
