This is a talk on a kind of new age philosophy in Second Life, but you will notice the same values construct gender identities for these audiences as in strip clubs or beach bars. A kind of standard regime of gendering avatars has been imposed on Second Life, but it has been imposed in the chaotic democracy of this "free" environment.
I guess this should be no surprise to any High School teacher, you want to see conformity look at communities of students. Nothing imposes universal standards like a group of free, tech savvy, people trying to express their individuality.

The same values

About Me
- Bob Hooker
- I have really strong opinions about silly things that I can validate using the strongest social theory, like why you should not watch Sex in the City or how the Simpsons promotes democracy.
