In an age where the Internet is mostly used to spread imagination of fear and prejudice, of lies and lunacy, to shut people off the Al-Andalus project in Second Life is an important effort to imagine, to promote cultural connections and to use the Internet to promote justice and diversity.

Al-Andalus
Al-Andalus is the communication channel of the Al-Andalus Sim community project.
The flag of Al-Andalus consists of green (Caliphate of Cordoba) and white (Almohad Empire), with a red triangle and sun (Granada, Spain). This historical meaning co-exists with a symbolical meaning, identifying green with hope and white with peace:
"The green and white flag
returns after centuries of war
to say peace and hope
under the sun of our land."
