The campers are gone, but a lot of walls

The Second Life Great Expedition: Frist Stop Second Life: the Campers

September 2007

Not surprising that the campers are gone, but the walls and clutter remain. Second Life most does not work as a community. Spaces are walled off from each others and the tendency is to make your own little universe. There a places where groups come together to RP and imagine and construct their own small reality, but there is not the mass public common space you see in great cities.

Second Life does not have this common social space with the exception of the landing hubs where people cluster around talking to each other. Also most places are empty most of the time.
