Space in Second Life

Second Life offers a map of itself you can. Below is a state of the map showing journeys through space I have taken.

But the map is a lie. The 3 major land masses are in fact only connected via teleports. The blue "water" is not water at all, its just an illusion of how dislocated spaces are arranged to give the illusion of a space. This location of land masses can be moved and the great see of islands sees land masses popping up and out every day.

The illusion plays to the mythology of Second Life: that it is a New Land.
