Port Babbage

Port Babbage in Second Life

Second Life identity has been broadly set out for me as being made up for builders and chatters. I have come to the conclusion that there is some truth in this. Sex rooms and hubs are for chatters and as a sociologist they hold most of my interest.

But a place like Port Babbage where builders live quickly becomes rich in structures. The place is like a field painting, worked and reworked with layers that are being applied, wipped, and reworked.

Strange that these amazing structures attract so few visitors. A blues club or strip club will be packed. But these structures are themselves conversations going on between Port Babbage shy compulsive builders.
