Gender Bias in Second Life's av apperance

In thrying to isolate where the high degree of gender identity comes in to Second Life lets first start with what is in the Second Life Gird itself.

Both of these are avs have all the same features set, with the only difference is that the above is a "female" and the below is a "male".

Though gender does not produce a penis or vagina, it does make marked changes in body structure. By simply making the same AV male I make it taller, with wider hips and a wider neck and larger head. The female figure has more curves, thing waist, and is shorter.

So in the fabric of making an AV Second Life has some very specific ideological assumptions built in.
