Second Life Economy

Like these rental signs there are lot of indications that Second Life is in a recession. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Wixom/148/180/116

Second Life's web page has also changed the way it report economic data, making it more complex and detailed; a sure sign of trouble to me. Yet as far as I can discern from the data that the Second Life economy seems to have rebounded from the bubble of 2007 and is growing at a stable if not explosive rate.

The problem is that the total land owned grows faster than the economy. As long as a lot of this land is put in to start up businesses Second Life will remain a very difficult place to make money.
