Vampire identity in Second Life
I have to day that finding a black skin or African clothing for my Avatars has been very hard, and yet I am flooded with the death worshing Vampire stuff. Second Life for many people is a place for sex, but for many other identity is around violence, blood and death.
The violence and whiteness fits too closely to the most ugly trends in our society. And by the way why would someone want to leave this cruel hard world full of exploitation and evil to become a vampire in the first place? It seems the sickly and powerless use Second Life to assume the role of sexual and physical violent monsters they are forced to live under in RL.
I wonder why the public is so keen on sexual activity, even play sexual activity where there are not victims whereas weapons and symbols of death don't raise an eyebrow of our death obsessed culture.
