One thing I am learning from my travels is how important camping is to Second Life. On the Second Life map people show up as bright green dots and people will often look to see where people are, hoping to see something interesting. Lots of campers means you space shows up with lots of green dots and is more interesting and more likely to foster community, though campers tend to be afk. I found this place just by following the green dots, and now it is in this blog with a link. Campers can be viral.
The only camping I knew about before was dancing in clubs and working in front of shops, but over the past days I have seen campers getting paid for sitting in cafes or even using a bath room.
